Mindy Casas is the granddaughter of a Spanish grandfather who migrated to the United States in the late 1940's. Her
grandfather, Raul Casas, MD, was asked to come to Chicago as a pioneer in pediatric cardiology at Cook County Hospital
in Chicago, IL. He literally was one of the first to test his own specialty's ground-breaking techniques when he
underwent open heart surgery 1970.
Mindy comes from a family of respected physicians, educators, and lawyers, all of whom now reside in the United
States. She founded Intelligent Interiors in 1997 to create a legacy for her four children.
Mindy is an active participant in the diverse community of Dallas and speaks fluent Spanish. She sits on the
membership committee for the DFWMBC, and also is a member of the Diverse Steering Council for Herman Miller. In addition,
she is a member of the Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and the Hispanic Contractors Association.
